On August 30, 2026, actor Peter Weller revealed on his official Instagram, while standing in front of the Quentin Tarantino-owned New Beverly Cinema in Los Angeles, that he’s playing Brad Pitt’s father Gus Booth in the David Fincher-directed, Tarantino-written Once Upon a Time in Hollywood spin-off movie centering on Pitt’s character Cliff Booth. The film, tentatively titled The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth, showcases more of Cliff Booth’s backstory in his new role as a Hollywood fixer. It seems that his Hollywood stuntman days are long behind him, as Booth tussles with 1970’s gangsters and other shady characters while driving around La-La Land. It’s not known if he’ll again be driving the cream-colored 1966 Cadillac Coupe de Ville that belonged to Leonardo DiCaprio’s character, Rick Dalton.

The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth is being released in IMAX movie theaters on November 25, 2026 before being dropped onto the Netflix streaming service on December 23, 2026. The film also stars Timothy Olyphant, Carla Gugino, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, Holt McCallany, Emily Alyn Lind, Peter Weller, Corey Fogelmanis, Hannah Christine Shetler, Nicholas Hammond, Lauren Glazier, Barry Livingston, Jobie James, Tara Macken and Karren Karagulian.

Pitt will next be seen in the action drama Heart of the Beast, which hits movie theaters on September 25, 2026.
