Lea Salonga is honored with the 2,855th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on September 4, 2026 at 11:30 AM Pacific Time at 6255 Hollywood Boulevard. Salonga receives her star in the Live Performance category. The emcee for the event, journalist Sibley Scoles, is accompanied by actress Ming-Na Wen, who speaks during the event. Wen and Salonga both lent their voices in the hit animated film as the lead character Mulan. With the honor, Salonga becomes the first Filipina to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce administers the legendary Walk of Fame for the City of Los Angeles and has hosted the iconic star ceremonies for decades. Millions of people from around the world have visited the cultural landmark since 1960.

Following her Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony, Salonga receives the Icon Award at the third annual Manila International Film Festival’s (MIFF) Closing Night Awards Gala on Sunday, September 6th at The Beverly Hilton. A member of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, MIFF nominated Salonga to the Hollywood Walk of Fame Committee for consideration.

A designated Disney Legend, Salonga captured hearts worldwide as the timeless singing voice of Princess Jasmine in Disney’s Aladdin and Fa Mulan in Mulan and Mulan II. She also lent her voice to KPop Demon Hunters as the singing voice of Celine. She also stars in DreamWorks Animation’s highly anticipated film, Forgotten Island, directed by Joel Crawford and Januel Mercado, opening in theaters September 25, 2026.
