This Black vinyl edition represents Dirty Harry’s premiere vinyl release – other than an unofficial 2021 release by Ryder Records – complete with the original session masters remixed for stereo. Lalo Schifrin achieved an action score that would come to be defined as the quintessential work in seventies action cinema. Urban jazz-funk formed the basis of the score for Dirty Harry, with a driving, percussion-based jazz ensemble, along with a ghostly chorale for the “Scorpio” scenes. All of the music originally recorded for the film is included in the release.

Tough-as-nails Police Inspector ‘Dirty’ Harry Callahan is assigned to track down the crazed psychopath before he strikes again. Co-directed by Don Siegel & Clint Eastwood and based on a story by Harry & Rita Fink, Dirty Harry stars Eastwood as ‘Dirty’ Harry Callahan, along with Harry Guardino, Reni Santoni, John Vernon, Andrew Robinson, John Larch, John Mitchum, Mae Mercer, Lyn Edgington, Ruth Kobart, Woodrow Parfrey, Josef Sommer, William Paterson, James Nolan, Maurice Argent and Jo de Winter.
