When a mysterious sea creature terrorizes a remote town, a fisherman named Calvin Penney (Josh Hartnett) must fight to protect his family, his community, and his way of life. As locals succumb to mayhem brought on by a series of strange events, and Calvin’s son Wade (Charlie Heaton) begins exhibiting terrifying symptoms, Calvin teams up with marine biologist Fonda Howander (Mackenzie Davis) to uncover what secrets lie beneath the water.
