Starting in 2024, horror media website Bloody Disgusting curated Walmart’s first ever in-store horror fan shop, available at Walmart locations across the United States. The Walmart horror shop launched with exclusive collectibles including the film Terrifier 2 on VHS, a format that by that time, was defunct for mass media distribution but still has a cult following with film collectors.
The August 20, 2024 launch also included a line of exclusive Blu-ray SteelBooks. Film studio Lionsgate supplied the horror movie titles for the Blu-ray + Digital collection, including the films Wolf Creek, Leatherface, Sinister, Texas Chainsaw (2013), You’re Next, I Spit on Your Grave, and Hannibal Rising. Each SteelBook features original artwork created by the artist Bond, with an initial retail price of $24.99 per title.
Walmart’s curated horror fan shop also features collectibles based on cult favorite properties including Scream, Terrifier, Killer Klowns from Outer Space, House of 1000 Corpses, Toxic Crusaders, Trick ‘r Treat and more.
