On October 23rd, 2026, Dark Sky Films releases the Matt Stuertz-directed horror film Human in select theaters and on VOD, after the movie freaked out – and grossed out – audiences at FrightFest in London and Obscura Film Festival in Berlin.

Human tells the story of Dani Ferris (Jackie Kelly), who is alone and exhausted past the point of reason. Dani was seeking a little tease of digital debauchery before bed. Instead, she receives a blood-drenched supernatural nightmare of horrors and heartbreak.

With the claustrophobic feeling of a single-night thriller and an abundance of bodily fluids, Human throws its heroine into a story where every relationship is a gamble and every hour brings a new threat. Director Stuertz, who also produced the film, keeps the pressure rising as Dani rides a roller coaster of emotions she never saw coming.

Directed by Stuertz (Tonight She Comes, RWD) from a script by David Neiss (Flush), Human also stars Jackie Kelly, Brock Russell, Cecily Dowd, Jeffrey Decker and Mia Sydney.
