The Crest Theater kicks off Halloween Season on September 26, 2026 with a cult horror double feature, local dark artisan vendors, a ghoulish costume contest, haunted photo ops and more. The event begins at 5:30pm with themed cocktails and vendor pop-ups in the theater lobby. At 7pm a screening of the Brian Yuzna-directed Return of the Living Dead III starts.

After the first screening, the pop-up shopping continues, along with morbid photo ops. Sam Raimi’s Evil Dead spin-off sequel Army of Darkness screens at 9:30pm, with a costume contest following the second movie screening, with prizes awarded for best costume.

Return of the Living Dead III (1993)

Return of the Living Dead III centers on Curt Reynolds, who struggles to accept losing Julie Walker while fleeing military forces determined to reclaim her, as her reanimated condition transforms love into a relentless fight against an impossible hunger. The film stars J. Trevor Edmond, Melinda Clarke and Kent McCord.

Army of Darkness (1992)

When Evil Dead’s Ash Williams (Bruce Campbell) is accidentally transported to 1300 A.D., he must retrieve the Necronomicon and battle an army of the dead in order to return home. Army of Darkness also stars Embeth Davidtz and Marcus Gilbert.
