Toasting their late friend at a distillery on New Year’s Eve, three former bandmates stumble into a top-shelf tasting where wishes are required for every bottle. But when their dreams become nightmares, they discover that every pour has its price.

Inspired by tales of B-movie maverick Roger Corman features like Little Shop of Horrors and The Terror, director Chris LaMartina (creator of the WNUF Halloween Special) celebrated his 40th birthday by shooting the movie Spirit Tasting in just four days of principal photography on a total budget of $40K.

Featuring cameos from Grady Hendrix, Henry Zebrowski, Peaches Christ, and Clay McLeod Chapman, Spirit Tasting is a sobering post-punk riff on the seminal horror story The Monkey’s Paw that explores “what ifs” of the past and aspirations for the future with ghastly and gory consequences.
