On October 17, 2026, WaterTower Music released the Clayface Original Motion Picture Soundtrack on major digital streaming platforms just ahead of the film’s theatrical release on October 23rd. The album features an original score by Oscar-winner Volker Bertelmann (All Quiet on the Western Front) and a cover of the Chicago classic “If You Leave Me Now” by British singer-songwriter Jasmine Jethwa. The track was recorded to Bertelmann’s production with the London Contemporary Orchestra at Abbey Road Studios. A vinyl edition of the soundtrack is scheduled to be released through Made by Mutant later in 2026.

Bertelmann describes the score as a close collaboration with Clayface director James Watkins. One of his biggest challenges was finding a single theme that could hold both Clayface’s inner conflict and the movie’s romance.

Working with James Watkins was a great experience. He gave me a lot of freedom to search for the right sound for the film. Finding a theme that captured both Clayface’s conflicted personality and the romance was one of the biggest challenges, along with creating sounds for the Nanos and integrating them into the music. James and editor Jon Harris found a beautiful balance between genre-specific storytelling and staying close to the humanity of the characters. That helped me shape the music in the right direction. It was a truly collaborative process.

James Watkins directs DC Studios’ horror thriller Clayface, starring Tom Rhys Harries in the title role of the cult favorite villain from Gotham’s Rogues’ Gallery. Matt Hagen’s meteoric rise from Gotham street kid to Hollywood leading man is tragically cut short when a local crime boss’s actions leave him horribly disfigured. Abandoned by his team and with nothing left, Matt seeks out a cutting-edge treatment that miraculously returns him to his former self – but also has troubling physical and psychological side effects. The procedure leaves him spiraling down a destructive path of all-consuming revenge. Clayface also stars Naomi Ackie, David Dencik, Max Minghella, Eddie Marsan, Nancy Carroll and Joshua James.

Watkins directs from a screenplay by Mike Flanagan and Hossein Amini. The film is produced by Matt Reeves, Lynn Harris, James Gunn and Peter Safran, with Michael E. Uslan, Chantal Nong Vo, Lars P. Winther, Paul Ritchie, Rafi Crohn and Trevor Macy executive producing.
