The Last Driver issue 2 by Sean Gordon Murphy (Batman: White Knight, Tokyo Ghost, Punk Rock Jesus, The Wake) is released by Image Comics on Wednesday, September 23, 2026.

As technology in America advanced, cities began creating the GRID: a robotic transportation system that not only made cars obsolete, it made them illegal. But an outlaw named “Clutch” has no choice but to get behind the wheel one more time. What starts out as a race to save his granddaughter’s life quickly turns into a rebellion against technology, fascism, and the future of a divided America.

The Last Driver is described as Escape from New York meets Vanishing Point, a high octane cyberpunk action comic for fans of Petrol Head, Death or Glory, and Tokyo Ghost.

Image also releases a third printing of The Last Driver issue 1 on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, featuring variant cover art by Murphy and colorist Simon Gough, paying homage to the iconic action film, RoboCop.
