Waxwork Records teams up with MUBI and Plan B Entertainment to release the Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma Original Motion Picture Soundtrack. The colored vinyl, CD and cassette editions are available for pre-order on August 14, 2026, with a digital release across streaming platforms a few days later on August 21st. The soundtrack features music from R.E.M., Counting Crows, Donna Lewis, Okay Kaya, Sally Shapiro, and more, alongside original score cues by Alex G (I Saw the TV Glow, We’re All Going To The World’s Fair). The album also features the single “Pain Is the Heart of Love,” a collaboration between Alex G and Paul Buchanan of The Blue Nile.
Waxwork Records presents the soundtrack as a deluxe LP set featuring various artists and select score cues by Alex G, all pressed on to white vinyl with blood red splatter, heavyweight jackets with matte UV coating and spot UV gloss varnish, printed inner sleeves, a 12×12 inch insert, and design by Anna Chandler. The soundtrack is also available on CD and cassette with colored a shell.
The movie begins after years of slapdash sequels and waning fandom make the Camp Miasma slasher franchise ready for resurrection. One young director (Hannah Einbinder) is more than up to the task. But when she visits the original film’s star, a now-reclusive actress (Gillian Anderson), the two women fall into a blood-soaked world of desire, fear, delirium — under threat from the spear-wielding Little Death (Jack Haven). Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma is Alex G’s third collaboration with filmmaker Jane Schoenbrun, having previously scored We’re All Going to the World’s Fair (2022) and I Saw the TV Glow (2024).
