Animation Digital Network (ADN), GKids, Mainichi Broadcasting System (MBS), Science SARU

Mainichi Broadcasting System (MBS) partnered with Animation Digital Network (ADN), GKIDS, and Muse for a global theatrical premiere of the second season of the popular anime series Dan Da Dan, released globally as Dan Da Dan: Evil Eye. The theatrical release begins on May 30th in Asia from Muse, then in North America on June 6th from GKIDS, and finally in European theaters on June 7, 2025 from ADN. The series streams worldwide in July 2025.

Dan Da Dan: Evil Eye features production from acclaimed animation studio Science SARU (Devilman Crybaby, Inu-Oh, Scott Pilgrim Takes Off), and is co-directed by first season veteran Fuga Yamashiro, and longtime Science SARU creator Abel Gongora, who directed the opening theme animation of the series’ first season. Composer Kensuke Ushio (Chainsaw Man, Devilman Crybaby) returns to score the new season.

Dan Da Dan is a television adaptation of author Yukinobu Tatsu’s manga of the same name, which is serialized in Shonen Jump Plus by Shueisha. Yukinobu Tatsu previously worked as an assistant to acclaimed author Tatsuki Fujimoto on the hit series Chainsaw Man and Fire Punch, and Yuji Kaku on Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku. The original manga series crossed 10 million in sales in early 2025, more than doubling its circulation following the success of the animated series.
