The developers of Atari Hotels – a first-of-its-kind immersive entertainment and hospitality venue – announced on October 30, 2026, that construction begins on its Phoenix, Arizona location. Groundbreaking commences on Phoenix’s Roosevelt Row, with a plan to open by early 2029. The announcement comes four months after a public funding round for the landmark project, giving the general public a chance to invest in the branded property, bringing together key partners and prominent supporters, including celebrity investors such as Henry Cejudo, Adapt and more.
Powered by Intersection Development, Atari Hotels adapts hospitality for the modern gaming, pop culture, and sports fan. The Phoenix property fuses nostalgia culture with futuristic technology, from high-tech guest rooms and creator studios to a 2,000 person esports and concert venue, along with a sports book, layers of immersive bars, restaurants and shopping.
Atari Hotels initiates with Phase One of the development of the property, focusing on preparing the site for construction by demolishing its existing building and preparing the land to lay the property’s foundation. Phase Two construction is expected to commence shortly after Phase One is complete.
Atari Hotels Phoenix is designed by räkkhaus, an architecture studio known for creating innovative and sustainable spaces that are deeply connected to their local culture and community. The project is underpinned by an exclusive license from the iconic gaming brand Atari, which extends to the world of hospitality for the first time. The venue aims to capitalize on the growing intersection of gaming, sports, entertainment and pop culture.
