Thirdverse will be hosting the X8 University Invitational Tournament from September 21 though 24, 2023. Ten eSports teams from universities across Japan will participate in the VR multiplayer hero shooter “X8.” The final tournament will take place during the Tokyo Game Show on September 24th. On the last day of the event, Thirdverse will host a dedicated event on the show floor for the X8 University Invitational Tournament and anyone attending the event can try “X8” as well.

“X8” is a VR multiplayer hero shooter where various heroes from different shooting game worlds gather across time and space to battle using super-human abilities. Players can form two teams of up to 5 players each for the competition. The tournament will be conducted in a 5v5, and Thirdverse will provide 5 PICO 4 devices free of charge to each participating team.
