The People’s House: A White House Experience, a museum experience less than a block from the actual White House, opened on September 23, 2024. The 33,000 square feet free museum features 3 floors of exhibit space honoring the past and present of the White House through interactive museum exhibits including 360-degree projections and talking framed portraits. Different areas bring to life the Oval Office, Cabinet Room and Rose Garden, along with other spaces of the historic building, informing of each section’s functions.

The creation of The People’s House: A White House Experience was a collaboration between the White House Historical Association, architecture firm Gensler, museum design firm Ralph Appelbaum Associates, and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, who was involved in the development of the attraction for more than two years.
