The Final Episode of Chiller Theater Airs on WIIC/WPXI, Channel 11 in Pittsburgh

TV/Streaming Series Finales | Jan 1, 1984

WIIC-TV, WPXI

The successful run of Chiller Theater (sometimes spelled Chiller Theatre) ended at the end of 1983. Leading up to its cancellation was a decision by WPXI management to air an hour-long weekend edition of the daily TV show Entertainment Tonight just after long-time anthology comedy series Saturday Night Live, pushing Chiller Theater’s start time to 2:00 a.m. in the morning, making it difficult for viewers to stay up and watch. The cast of Chiller Theater included Bill Cardille as Host Chilly Billy, Bonnie Barney as Georgette The Fudgemaker, Norman Elder as Norman The Castle Keeper, Ted James as Beauregard C. Beauregard, Steve Luncinski as Stefan The Castle Prankster, Donna Rae as Terminal Stare, Skeets Skettino as Pizza Man, and Joyce Sterling as Sister Susie.

The last episode of Chiller Theater, hosted by Bill “Chilly Billy” Cardille, aired on January 1, 1984. Click Here to find out more about Chiller Theater.
