Fresh off the pairing of Radiohead albums with screenings of Nosferatu, Blue Starlite Entertainment’s Silents Synced series continues with rock group R.E.M.’s music. In February of 2025, the band’s albums Monster and New Adventures in Hi-Fi are being used as soundtracks for screenings of the 1924 Buster Keaton comedy Sherlock Jr.

R.E.M. co-founder Peter Buck said in a statement,

“Buster Keaton is one of my favorite actor/director/writers in movie history. I’m honored that in some small way R.E.M. is collaborating with him from beyond the grave.”

The historic Morton Theatre hosts the world premiere on February 1, 2025 at 7pm and arthouse cinema Ciné hosts a screening at 8pm, both theaters are located in Athens, Georgia.
