Bandleader Don Julian followed the lead of Isaac Hayes and Curtis Mayfield in scoring the 1973 blaxploitation film Savage, a Philippine-shot B-movie funded and distributed by Roger Corman’s New World Pictures. The soundtrack was originally released by Money Records and showcases flute work by Jimmy Vinson and a ten minute title theme. This Blood orange pressing is limited to 750 copies.
