DC Direct, McFarlane Toys

Premier cover artist J. Scott Campbell continues his run on the DC Cover Girls Statue line with a beautiful resin statue featuring the character Mera. The highly detailed statue stands approximately 10.4 inches tall and is made of polyresin. Mera is hand-numbered on the base and has a 1:8 scale.

Comic book superhero Mera was first published by DC Comics. Created by Jack Miller and Nick Cardy, the character first appeared in Aquaman #11, which was released in September 1963. Originally portrayed as a supporting character to her husband Aquaman, Mera possesses the formidable hydrokinetic power to create and control water. She has also been depicted as a member of the Justice League.

The character has been adapted into various media, notably being played by Elena Satine on Smallville and featured in the DC Extended Universe where Amber Heard portrayed Mera in Justice League and its director’s cut. Heard reprised the role in Aquaman and returned in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. The character has also been adapted in the Young Justice animated television series.
