Marvel Rivals is a Super Hero Team-Based PVP Shooter that lets players assemble a squad of Super Heroes and Super Villains that battle with unique powers across a dynamic lineup of destructible maps from across the Marvel Multiverse. The game launched December 6, 2024 with all heroes unlocked and free to play at launch.

The game’s launch trailer features renowned rock vocalist Chrissy Costanza, who performs the Marvel Rivals theme song “Rivals ‘Til the End.” Costanza is best known as the front-woman for the band Against The Current and for gaming anthems such as “Legends Never Die” and “Phoenix.”

In Marvel Rivals, players choose heroes split into three distinct roles based on their unique power inclinations: Vanguard, Duelist, and Strategist. They are free to pick their preferred role and hero, teaming up with allies to create a versatile and dynamic lineup for battle. Players are also able to achieve a second level of team play collaboration with Team-Up Abilities, unleashing joint superpowers with their allies, tearing down the battlefield to win during fights. Marvel Rivals is developed by a NetEase Games team that previously worked on hit shooter franchises.
