Starting May 23, 2025, select Alamo Drafthouse locations host “Movie Party” edition screenings of the killer shark blockbuster Jaws, allowing fans to live the shark-hunting adventure alongside Brody, Hooper and Quint. Featuring shark hats and yellow floatie drink holders, the events are part of the 50th Anniversary of the film that launched the concept of the summer blockbuster.

Jaws centers on a massive killer shark that unleashes chaos on the Long Island beach community of Amity Island, leaving it up to a local sheriff, a marine biologist, and a veteran seafarer to hunt down and kill the beast. Directed by Steven Spielberg from a script co-written by the author of the original novel Peter Benchley and Carl Gottlieb (who also appears in the movie), Jaws stars Roy Scheider, Robert Shaw, Richard Dreyfuss, Lorraine Gary, Murray Hamilton, Jeffrey Kramer, Susan Backlinie, Jonathan Filley, Ted Grossman, Chris Rebello, Jay Mello, Lee Fierro and Jeffrey Voorhees.
