JVCKenwood subsidiary Victor Entertainment, a producer and distributor of music, movies and other entertainment media such as anime and television shows in Japan, was founded on April 25, 1972. The company is known as JVC Entertainment in countries where Sony Music Entertainment operates the RCA Victor record label.
Victor Entertainment distributes D-topia Entertainment, Daipro-X, Marquee Inc., Milan Records, RCA Records and Revolver Music, along with a number of other international record labels, to the Japanese market. Some of the major artists Victor Entertainment has promoted and distributed include Orange Range, Purple Kiss, Plastic Tree, Buck-Tick, Death from Above 1979, Sayuri Yoshinaga, Zardonic and Sambomaster.
