Comic book publishers Skybound and Image Comics release the first issue of comic book series Blood & Thunder, from writer Benito Cereno (Invincible Presents: Atom Eve), artist E.J. Su (Tech Jacket), colorist MSassyK (Gotham Academy), and letterer Rus Wooton (TRANSFORMERS), with original story concept and creative consulting from visionary creator Robert Kirkman (Invincible, The Walking Dead, Void Rivals) on May 7, 2025.

Set in a far future where Earth has integrated alien species into a new society, Blood & Thunder plays by a whole new set of rules, along with new types of crimes to solve.

Bounty hunter Akeldama “Blood” Bledsoe and her cantankerous talking gun, Thunder, are the best there is at bringing in the bad guys. However, when the galaxy’s most dangerous criminal breaks out of prison, Blood’s hunt delivers her down a path that will unlock secrets about her past, present, and future.

In addition to the main cover by E.J.
