I Luv Video is an integral part of Austin history. The store’s final location on Airport Blvd was recognized as the largest and oldest video shop in the world, with over 120,000 videos on its shelves up until its closure in 2020. The store fell victim to the pandemic and online streaming, leaving a huge hole in the heart of Austinites.

Two years later, Ryan Teel and Macy Cotton came up with the idea of reopening I Luv Video. That crazy idea became a reality, with the May 27, 2023 soft opening of We Luv Video – a 501c non-profit dedicated to preserving essential and rare cinema along with video rental culture. As of November 2024 We Luv Video is open on East North Loop Blvd.
