First Issue of Delirium Magazine Released by Cult Film Studio Full Moon Features
Launches and Openings, Magazine and Newspaper Publication Dates | Feb 1, 2014
In February of 2014, cult and exploitation distributor Full Moon Features launched a magazine dedicated to the same subjects explored in the studio’s feature film projects. Titled Delirium Magazine, the periodical is described as “a breathless, bold, bloody, beautiful, brainy and ballistic bi-monthly 21-gun-pulp-fiction-salute print publication.” Delirium’s editors say the magazine is dedicated to exploring and celebrating the uninhibited joy of making outrageous movies while high-fiving the fevered audiences who just can’t seem to get enough.
Published by Full Moon Features founder Charles Band, produced by the Full Moon Features team and edited by filmmaker, film journalist and Fangoria Magazine Editor-in-Chief Chris Alexander, Delirium features exclusive interviews, photos from Band’s cinema archives, posters, retrospectives, and special FX make-up secrets.
The first issue of the magazine features interviews with Stuart Gordon, Barbara Crampton and founder Richard Band dissecting their 1985 horror classic Re-Animator. Also included are discussions with Celeste Yarnall centering on The Velvet Vampire, the rise of Wizard Studios, and exploitation classic Tourist Trap.
