CJ 4DPLEX

India launched its first ScreenX formatted theater auditorium on July 11, 2019 at the INOX Megaplex theater located in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The opening celebration included an appearance by popular Indian Bollywood actress Rakul Preet Singh.

ScreenX is a panoramic film format that presents movies with expanded, dual-sided, 270-degree screens projected on the walls in a theater. First introduced in 2012, it is Co-developed by CJ 4DPLEX, a subsidiary of the CJ CGV group, and KAIST. The firms also created the 4DX motion-theater technology, known as Ultra 4DX.
