The final scheduled showing of the Universal Mega Movie Parade occurs on November 14, 2024.

The parade featured a variety of floats and characters from franchises such as E.T., Back to the Future, Jaws, Ghostbusters, and Jurassic World. Additionally, it features characters from Illumination’s Minions and Sing, along with DreamWorks Animation’s Trolls and Kung Fu Panda.

The Universal Mega Movie Parade began between Cafe La Bamba and Universal Orlando’s Horror Make-Up Show theater. From there it turned left, heading down the streets of Hollywood, then proceeding along Illumination Avenue and through New York, before returning to its starting point.

At the time of its launch, the Universal Mega Movie Parade became Universal Orlando Resort’s biggest parade in the park’s history. The parade featured a lineup of 13 floats and over 100 performers – including dancers, skaters, stilt walkers, and poi artists – all enhanced with special effects.

The event included a towering 16-foot Stay Puft Marshmallow Man dominating the Ghostbusters float and a whimsically colorful Caterbus cruising alongside giant rainbows on the Trolls float. The event also included a live marching drum line synced to the iconic Jaws movie score, creating a chilling atmosphere next to the shark-themed float. The parade culminates in a finale with the Jurassic World float, complete with an enormous Tyrannosaurus rex.
