Iconic Events Releasing, The Horror Section

Jon Schnaars, CEO of Eli Roth’s horror film studio The Horror Section, announced by email that the company has acquired its first film, writer, director and lead actor Joe Begos’ Jimmy and Stiggs. Additional details on the title were made available by way of an online Variety article linked to from the email.

Jimmy and Stiggs centers on a down-on-his-luck filmmaker (Begos) who claims he was abducted by aliens, vowing to bring them down alongside his friend (Matt Mercer). The film screened at Beyond Fest and the Sitges Film Festival, and The Horror Section has planned for a wide theatrical release on August 15, 2025 through Iconic Events.
