The Running Man

Based on Stephen King’s novel, The Running Man takes place in the year 2019. The United States has turned into a totalitarian state where the favorite television program is called “The Running Man,” a game show featuring inmates who must run to freedom while avoiding a brutal death at the hands of hunters looking for their next kill. Having been made a scapegoat by the government, an imprisoned Ben Richards (Arnold Schwarzenegger) is given the opportunity to make it back to the outside world by being a contestant on the deadly show. However the twisted host, Damon Killian (Richard Dawson), has no intention of letting him escape.
Directed by Paul Michael Glaser, The Running Man stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Maria Conchita Alonso, Yaphet Kotto, Jim Brown, Jesse Ventura, Erland van Lidth, Marvin J. McIntyre, Gus Rethwisch, Professor Toru Tanaka, Mick Fleetwood, Dweezil Zappa, Richard Dawson, Karen Leigh Hopkins, Sven-Ole Thorsen, Edward Bunker, Bryan Kestner and Anthony Pena.
