An Iranian female judoka named Leila Hosseini is at the World Judo Championships, attempting to bring home Iran’s first gold medal. But the judo athlete is put in political danger when her government tells her to fake an injury and withdraw from the world championships rather than face an Israeli rival in the final.

She finds herself facing a life-or-death decision that could put the lives of her, her coach – a former competitor herself – and her family, in danger.

Tatami is co-directed by Guy Nattiv and Zar Amir Ebrahimi, and stars Arienne Mandi as Leila Hosseini, along with Zar Amir Ebrahimi, Jaime Ray Newman, Nadine Marshall, Elham Erfani and Ash Goldeh.
