Gaylord Palms Resort in Kissimmee, Florida will again host its popular holiday event from November 17, 2023, through January 3, 2024, with more than two million pounds of ice sculptures that will tell the story of A Charlie Brown Christmas, featuring classic Charles Schulz’ Peanuts characters including Lucy, Sally, Linus, Snoopy, Peppermint Patty, and of course, Charlie Brown’s Christmas tree.
The annual Christmas holiday attraction is created by a team of world-renowned carvers who travel from Harbin, China (home to the world’s largest annual ice and snow sculpting festival in the world) to Florida. It takes the skilled artisans five weeks to carve 6,700 blocks of ice – each weighing 300 pounds – into the whimsical scenes, using chainsaws, chisels, tongs, handsaws, hand tools, and grinders.
In addition to the giant Peanuts character sculptures, guests can ride down two-story-tall ice slides and visit the Carver’s Showcase to see live sculpting demonstrations.
During the exhibtion, Holiday events and activities will be offered across the Gaylord Palms Resort, including Christmas shows in the atrium, along with a Bavarian Alpine Village in the convention center, featuring one of Florida’s largest Christmas shops.
