Millionaire playboy Thomas Crown (Pierce Brosnan) steals a priceless painting from an art gallery and soon learns that insurance investigator Catherine Banning (Rene Russo) is onto him. They fall for each other but Catherine is suspicious because the mysterious Anna Knudsen (Esther Cañadas), a gorgeous young woman, is always around Crown. They go to Martinique to be alone but after they come back Thomas wants them leave together. Catherine still isn’t sure. Will they be able to trust each other and overcome their deepest fears?
