The Main Show is the heart and soul of IX, which features over 90 of the finest imaginative artists in the world – all working in traditional media – over the full five-day course of the event. Artists are selected from submissions each year by a rotating panel of judges – in the past, judges have been drawn from the Brandywine, Allentown, and Delaware museums, Sotheby’s London, Beautiful Bizarre, Fine Art Connoisseur and Juxtapoz magazines, along with major galleries, ateliers, and realist art organizations.
Selected artists set up and display their work at the show for a full five days, hanging in galleries covering 18,000 square feet on three floors of the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts. Artist space sizes vary, ranging from 8 linear feet to over 20 linear feet, with an average size of around 13 linear feet. Many artists choose to sketch or paint at their spaces during the show, adding impromptu demonstrations to the gallery floors.
Artists chosen for the 2026 IX Art Show include Kate Adams, Shawn Adomanis, Rob Alexander, Fian Arroyo, Joanna Barnum, Julie Bell, Ed Binkley, Scott Brundage, Christopher Burdett, Jon Carraher, Cully Cuniff, Rain Delmar, Bob Eggleton, Lisa Falkenstern, Jody Fallon, Kev Fang, Sarah Finnigan, Joleen Flasher, Tom Fleming, Justin Gerard, Donato Giancola, Leo Gonzales, Lars Grant-West, Chuck Grieb, Lisa “Sprite” Hansen, Mark Harrison, Michael C.
