On Sunday, August 2nd, 2026 from 12 noon to 6 PM, Steel Streets creator Mahdi Khene celebrates the release of Steel Streets: The Collected Edition Volume 1 with a special signing at Forbidden Planet NYC. Steel Streets is a noir anti-superhero story about a man who can’t stop intervening and a city that won’t let him escape the consequences. Every act of violence promises purpose, but only tightens the cycle he’s trapped inside.

Steel Streets: The Collected Edition Volume 1 is a 5×7 inch pocket book trade paperback. The book’s 136 pages collect the first four issues of Steel Streets with additional material.

Mahdi Khene is a New York City-based cartoonist and publisher who co-founded indie publishing company Zuperhero Comics in 2021. Along with scoring a number of short films, Khene dove into the world of underground comics, releasing acclaimed titles such as Steel Streets and Bootleg Spider-Man. He is also the editor of the Zine Lightwood, where various cartoonists collaborate and contribute to a unifying theme.
