The Chinese Historical Society of America Museum (CHSA) presents the One Family Block Party, a celebratory day of unity, safety and solidarity, that happens on Waverly Place in San Francisco Chinatown on October 4, 2025 from 1PM to 4PM. The event is inspired by the life and legacy of martial artist, actor and pop culture icon Bruce Lee.

The One Family Block Party features musical performances by rappers Suave DeLa Stunna and UnLearn The World, along with DJ sets by DJ Qbert, Vanessa “Agana” Espinosa and Kenneth “Kendo” Dolar. The event also showcases martial arts demonstrations and pop-up art exhibits, along with a panel discussion about martial arts as an expression of resistance to empire and an affirmation of cultural heritage. The panel features Dr. Bernard James Remollino and Jeff Chang, the author of Mirror Water Echo: Bruce Lee and the Making of Asian America.

In addition, CHSA launches its “mobile museum” during the event, which is described as a public activation of hands-on art making.

This event is also supported by martial arts organization 64 Blocks LLC and music organization SF Hip Hop.
