On May 8, 2025 Sights and Sounds screens the cult classic action thriller The New Barbarians (also called Warriors of the Wasteland) at Neon Clown Dream Lounge on North Front Street in Philadelphia. The free event is sponsored by The Decades Hat Company and Highly Functional HiFi Records and includes popcorn and candy freebies, along with DJ sets by Slim Corvelli and $LiMs.

The New Barbarians screening event starts at 6pm. This event is part of an ongoing monthly screening series by Sights and Sounds that screens cult movies and showcases DJ sets by local Philadelphia area beat mechanics.

Directed by Enzo G. Castellari, The New Barbarians centers on two mercenaries that help a wandering caravan fight off an evil and aimless band of white-clad bikers after a nuclear holocaust has collapsed society. The film stars Giancarlo Prete, Fred Williamson, George Eastman, Anna Kanakis, Ennio Girolami, Venantino Venantini, Massimo Vanni, Giovanni Frezza, Iris Peynado, Andrea Coppola, Vito Fornari and Zora Kerova.
