Warner Bros. Movie World in Oxenford, Australia opened a Wizard of Oz theme park land, including two new roller coasters, on December 20, 2024. The section is billed as the “world’s first Wizard of Oz precinct.”

The Flight of the Wicked Witch coaster is a suspended coaster that reaches speeds of 67 km/h (42 mph) and a height of 19 meters (63 feet). While riding the roller coaster, riders imagine themselves soaring alongside the Wicked Witch’s flying monkeys, just like in The Wizard of Oz.

The boomerang roller coaster Kansas Twister is based on the tornado that barrels through the Gales’ farm in The Wizard of Oz. The coaster travels forward along its track, pauses, then travels backward along the same path. It reaches speeds of 58 km/h (36 mph) and a height of 22 meters (72 feet).
