The 1983 Canadian horror film Spasms centers on a large serpent that is captured by a poacher on a remote island in Micronesia. The beast is shipped to a millionaire philanthropist’s mansion for experimentation. The reclusive British millionaire, named Jason Kincaid (Oliver Reed), and an American scientist named Dr. Thomas Brasilian (Peter Fonda) must pursue the beast when it escapes and begins to murder innocent people.
