On Wednesday, December 18, 2024, Paramount Pictures broke the Guinness World Records title for the “largest shadow projection,” leading up to the theatrical release of their animated film Sonic the Hedgehog 3 that same week. The shadow projected on an exterior wall of the American Dream Mall in Rutherford, New Jersey, with a live stream shown on the first floor of Court A within the facility.
Sonic the Hedgehog 3, from Paramount Pictures, in association with SEGA, opened in movie theaters throughout the United States on Friday, December 20, 2024. The film has Sonic, Knuckles and Tails reuniting against a powerful adversary – Shadow – a mysterious villain with powers unlike anything they faced before.
