The original cast and crew, along with fans of Miami Vice, attended a celebration honoring the iconic crime series’ 40th anniversary in South Florida, from Friday, September 12th through Sunday September 15th, 2024. Organized by Miami Vice super fan Derek Hedlund, the event included fan meet and greets, autograph signings, an 80’s fashion panel, parties, and a pop up memorabilia exhibition at WEAM, the Wilzig Erotic Art Museum.

Among the event locations included The Avalon Hotel, where key scenes from the original series were shot.

The groundbreaking series was executive produced by legendary filmmaker Michael Mann and created by Anthony Yerkovich. Miami Vice starred Don Johnson as Detective James Crockett, Philip Michael Thomas as Detective Ricardo Tubbs, Saundra Santiago as Detective Gina Calabrese, Olivia Brown as Detective Trudy Joplin, Michael Talbott as Detective Stan Switek, Edward James Olmos as Lieutenant Martin Castillo, John Diehl as Detective Larry Zito, Rico Paisley as Evans, Martin Ferrero as Izzy Moreno, Raphael Rey Gomez as Delgado Man, Julio Oscar Mechoso as Lester Kosko, Charlie Barnett as Neville ‘Noogie’ Lamont, Belinda Montgomery as Caroline Crockett, and Sheena Easton as Caitlin Davies.
