Gannett Company announced the 2023 USA TODAY High School Sports Awards national show, debuting a podcast-style talk show format. The national show premiers Sunday, July 30, 2023 at 8 p.m. ET on the USA TODAY High School Sports Awards website. USA TODAY High School Sports Awards, the largest high school sports recognition program in the country, honors the top athletic accomplishments of over 40 athletes in 18 sports categories – baseball, softball, track & field, volleyball, lacrosse, field hockey, cross country, golf, bowling, soccer, hockey, gymnastics, wrestling, basketball, football, flag football, swimming & diving and tennis. National nominees are selected through statistical analysis, game coverage and coach and athletic director feedback.

This year’s show brings together sports experts across the USA TODAY Network including USA TODAY Sports Columnist Christine Brennan, who serves as emcee alongside co-hosts Ryan O’Leary, USA TODAY Ventures Content Manager, Cydney Henderson, USA TODAY Sports NOW Reporter, and Barrett Fontana, USA TODAY Ventures Content and Athlete Operations Specialist.
