Russ Meyer’s schlock-classic Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! was first released in theaters on August 6, 1965. Meyer shot the movie from a script he co-wrote with Jackie Moran and picked a colorful cast, including former exotic dancer Tura Satana, along with Haji, Lori Williams, Ray Barlow, Sue Bernard, Michael Finn, Dennis Busch, Stuart Lancaster and Paul Trinka.
Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! centers on three sexy go-go dancers-turned-murderous-criminals, who are holding a young girl hostage after savagely disposing of her boyfriend. As they seek refuge from the authorities, the group come across a crippled old man living with his two sons in the desert. After learning he’s hiding a large sum of cash, the women plotting how they can separate the man from his money. There’s plenty of seduction, lying and gratuitous violence along the way, but what else would you expect from a Russ Meyer crime epic.
Russ Meyer apparently chose the title Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! because he claimed that a film title had everything in it when it contained speed (Faster), sex (Pussycat) and violence (Kill! Kill!).
